Here is my patchwork bolero folks. I was testing the pattern for Donna. The patchwork effect is totally unintended!

Here is how the back looks:

And the whole thing without me inside:

According to my blog-stats service, this is a graph showing the keywords used to access my blog. Oddly enough I cannot recall ever having used any of these terms in my posts…Really weird.

Click for a larger view, the text is too small. What(or who) is a “gap guru” anyway?

Ever heard of these? I’m serious! A baby bat has been haunting my MIL’s balcony since this morning. So the door into the bedroom has been truly barred against all entry. Now my MIL is a very down-to-earth person, so I think it’s unfair that the bat should have chosen to haunt her balcony rather than mine, who I think all of you would agree, am a far better candidate for the honour…Now I’m going to haunt my balcony to try and capture a picture of the bat as it lurks inside a vent…**slinks off with camera in hand**

Ta-da! Here is my Carpenter Hat, which I made online! Meaning, I was chatting on the monthly Crochet-A-Thon from Crochetlist and having great fun, all at the same time as making this. And they said I couldn’t multi-task! I was testing this pattern for Jackie over at the Crochetville forums. She very kindly gave me permission to put up this photo here.

Hey! Who shrank my head when I wasn’t looking?!
Swapna's Carpenter Hat
But seriously, the CAT was great fun, and I didn’t feel like a firsttimer at all!!! It’s a good thing it only happens once a month, though, because it’s far too distracting and I had to tear myself away from the comp to go cook/clean/breathe/whatever.

It’s official! The voting population of this blog has now doubled. We have so far…hold your breath…..6 voters in the second poll. Yay! That’s not an earthquake, that’s me jumping up and down (unless you are in California, in which case, please evacuate your house immediately until the tremors stop).
If you haven’t yet voted, please do so now.———–>
Who knows, I might even reach double figures one day….

Wow!
I’ve volunteered as pattern tester for a couple more things and now I’ve got lots of stuff to make from folks over at the Crochetville forum. Yay!
I’m almost through with the Claudia Bolero (I shall be calling it the patchwork bolero for reasons that will be obvious when I upload photos…).
Then I have a Carpenter Hat to do, as well as the thread angel set….It’s a bit overwhelming, but what fun!!!!
I’ve also jumped on the Crochetville RAOK bandwagon, and added my wishlist there. Found a couple of things I could do for other people, too.
Being in the forum is like a self-perpetuating cycle. The more you read, the more ideas you get, the more things you make and the more you want to post!!!

Boo hoo!
I thought I was using the same yarn! And it looks identical in some light, including in the fluorescent light when I used it last night. But in daylight and in flash conditions, here is what we have!!! There be ghosts and ghouls and yarns that change colour unseen…
Bolero
I bought it all at the same time, except some of it has been languishing inside a metal bureau for some time. Do you suppose that was why it changed colour? **scratching head** Besides, it looks different only under the influence of flash or light through a window that has a sunfilm. Weird!

Here is how the yarn that I’m using looks. It’s very soft and about 10 wraps per inch. I bought it in Delhi, in unlabelled hanks.
Yarn
I’m using a Pony 6 hook (5 mm) and the cardigan is working up very fast, just as I like! I’m a pattern tester for the first time. Yay!

Hijacking an idea from Soapbox, here is my very own graph of the week for page statistics: I love her blog by the way. She sounds like so much fun, it makes my morning to read her entries.
To analyse my graph, the visits apparently peaked on 14 June, which was the day I made my new poll———–> so if you haven’t voted yet (which I think you haven’t, because only 3 people have voted so far) please vote now!!!. It also appears that my readers visit my blog only every other day a la the White Queen (You can have jam only every other day).
And, 95% of my visitors came looking for Denise Augostine. Well, whatever works! I hope they found her.
Disclaimer: Since my blog only has about 3 readers, I urge you not to take any of the above analysis seriously. 😀

After the successful conclusion of the first historic poll on this blog, we now have a successor: a poll on changing colours. Do cast your vote today: ——>

Update:Sheila, I can’t think what the problem might be with your not being able to see my poll! Forgive the silly question, but I suppose the sidebar doesn’t simply disappear to the extreme right and maybe you’ll find it if you scroll? **Sorry** Tell me what browser you use….but you’re the techie!!! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll be soon able to see it and vote.
If anyone else has problems seeing my sidebar, please write in and tell me!

And the winner is……..Size 10 thread! Of all votes polled, 66% percent (2 votes) went to the winner, twice the number (1) that went to wool, the runner-up. Get your hands together for the winner, everyone!!!! **trumpets**
I will soon have my second poll set up, and look forward to even better polling.
