Carpenter Hat

Ta-da! Here is my Carpenter Hat, which I made online! Meaning, I was chatting on the monthly Crochet-A-Thon from Crochetlist and having great fun, all at the same time as making this. And they said I couldn’t multi-task! I was testing this pattern for Jackie over at the Crochetville forums. She very kindly gave me permission to put up this photo here.

Hey! Who shrank my head when I wasn’t looking?!

But seriously, the CAT was great fun, and I didn’t feel like a firsttimer at all!!! It’s a good thing it only happens once a month, though, because it’s far too distracting and I had to tear myself away from the comp to go cook/clean/breathe/whatever.

In love with sewing, weaving, crochet, and with bags and pouches and fabric. I love colour and pattern and texture. I love having my hands busy. Some day I hope my craft will become my day job.

  1. I like that hat:) I know what you mean about trying to crochet and chat at the CAT. I was there, my name is Barbara, I am Nashville Crocheter on Crochetville…I’m the one who suggested that you add cotton yarn to your wishlist. I see that you have dont that:)

I had to frog several rows of an afghan I was working on during CAT. But I’ll be back next month. This was my first one too.

  2. Thanks, Barbara, for that RAOK suggestion. And it feels nice to bump into you at two different places…Otherwise I was beginning to wonder if there’s some sort of **rivalry** for want of a better word…I wonder how many others are members of both? Hmmm
Can’t wait for the next CAT…
