I’ve got my digital camera, a Canon PowerShot A400, which is pretty much an entry-level camera with 3.2 megapixel resolution and 2.2x optical zoom, but I think it is adequate for my needs.
I promptly clicked some pictures of my larger crochet projects, which wouldn’t fit into my scanner. And now they litter my blog. 😀

A very simple pattern from Panda Crochet!, which works out surprisingly large. The yarn was left over from some baby set I made.

Very quick to make from a simple pattern at Mielke’s Fiber Arts. I added a pompom to finish off. It fits Sridhar nicely, although he originally refused to use it. It came in handy for his February trip to New Delhi.

Pinwheel doily

I’ve searched the net, but it appears The Potholder Lady has gone into cyber-hibernation and now only be found in archives. Scroll down the page for a peep at her original Pinwheel Placemat, but no pattern. Sorry! 😦
If anybody stumbles across TPL again, please let me know.

ETA March 30 2008: Even webarchive no longer has The PotHolder Lady’s site. Which is a great pity. She had some lovely patterns.

You can get the pattern for this doily from FreePatterns.com under ‘Dazzling Doilies’. You will need to register and sign in to access the patterns, but it’s worth it. They have lots of lovely patterns. I haven’t got around to making the other two in this particular set.

Doily2
Link not found.

This one is made with nylon(?) thread about the same gauge as worsted weight yarn, I think. The pattern is from Crochet ‘N’ More.

The basis for this three-colour granny square doily is the basic granny square, the pattern for which you can get at JPF Crochet Club for example.

The same pattern as the brown one I posted earlier, only done in a different colour and type of yarn. This one went to a nephew in Ahmedabad. (Was appreciated, too, I heard)
