Veronica graciously made me another button for my blog and here it is. I’m thrilled with this one, too!

Go on, swipe it!

Yes, I’m no longer a RAOK v****n! Veronika from C’ville made me three buttons for my blog and you can now swipe them from my sidebar, to your right——->
They look like this:

Aren’t they cute?!

On another note, please don’t forget to vote in my poll. I’m receiving interesting inputs from people who’ve already done so. The poll is also to your right ——–>

Just joking. But I goofed somehow and eliminated much of my template code and all you could see when you visited my blog was a blank, black page….
But, being the clever girl that I am **pat, pat, pat my back** I immediately hollered at Crochetville and sure enough, a couple of **angels** helped me out. So normal service is resumed. Whew! That’s why I’m up long past my bedtime, and only about 300,000 of the half-million ends left to weave in on my current “elfin” project.
Thank you, CraftyCritter and Empress Busy Bee! You saved my life blog! Posterity will curse thank you!

The topic of blog-commenting (blommenting? clogging? blenting? bleating…no, that doesn’t sound right) seems to be a popular one and itself rouses a lot of reactions. I thought I’d paste here what some very eminent bloggers had to say to my post: (Notice my name-dropping)

I think that this is a great topic! I love to get comments and leave comments. At first I didn’t know if it was “okay” to leave a comment on the blog of someone I knew only thru reading their posts, but I took the leap and there’s been no turning back.

*blush*

I was the same way when I first entered blogland. I didn’t want to comment for fear of appearing pushy etc. I felt like maybe it was an invasion of privacy (duh Hell-oo, it is a public diary!) Anyway, I leapt as well, how else does one make friends via computer? (or anywhere for that matter)

I agree with both Regina and Sara…I’ve been reading blogs much longer than Ive been leaving comments! However I still sometimes just visit and dont feel the “need” to comment at each and every one of the new entries. I find I only comment tho on those blogs where I get a feel for “having something in common” or those the totally inspire and amaze me..I probably comment on 1 blog a day average and I visit about 20 a day regularly.

I leave comments everywhere I go, even if it’s just a “great blog”. I love getting comments and I know everyone else does too!

I also love to visit everyone that leaves a comment on my blog. I feel very connected with the whole world now. Woo hoo HOO!

Great blog, btw! 😉

It’s ok. I forgive everyone…I guess all of you were away for the long weekend or something. So only 7 voters cast their votes. However, since I held the poll, I am giving the results below:

When someone comments on your blog, do you

Return the favour by commenting on theirs 2 (28%)
Send them email 0 (0%)
Quote their comments in your post 0 (0%)
Do all the above 1 (14%)
Do any two of the above 4 (57%)
Never bother to check for comments at all 0 (0%)

Total votes: 7

1 person actually does all of commenting, emailing and quoting, but the majority go for any 2 options. Everybody checks for comments (a no-brainer).

Ho-hum.

Let’s see if I can come up with a more interesting poll this time.

As the title suggests, my fourth poll is inspired by Sara over at Crochet All Day. Stealing ideas left and right, we are!
The subject is: how do you react to comments on your blog? Do cast your valuable vote and let us know! Imagine us to be pressing flesh and kissing babies, if you need.
The poll is, as usual, somewhere to your right ———->

The third poll on this blog has closed and the results are kind of dull….
Also, we had an increase of just 3 voters from our last poll.
Anyway, the results are as follows:

Your favourite place to crochet is
Living room 82 % (14 votes)
Kitchen 0 % (0 votes)
Bedroom 17 % (3 votes)
Porch/sitout/deck 0 % (0 votes)
Under a blanket with a torch 0 % (0 votes)
Bathroom 0 % (0 votes)
Total votes 17
What, nobody is a closet(blanket) crocheter at all? I’m disappointed.
I have to say I belong to the minority on this one, my favourite place to crochet is the bedroom, watching TV. Maybe we can start a webring for bedroom crocheters…and call it Bedtime Yarns…

Look out for the next poll, and keep up the morale, troops, we need all the support we can get.

The visits to my blog peaked on 20 June according to this graph. Must find out what I was doing on that day…

It’s that time of the week again, and the misfit has a new poll up on her blog. This time it’s about your favourite place to crochet. Be sure to visit the blog and cast your vote. All those who vote will win ……..
my eternal gratitude!!!
Remember, last time we achieved a polling count of 14. We have to beat that this time…

**Trumpets and flourishes**
Yes, the poll results are out, and the biggest news is! We had 14 voters in our second poll. **faints**
Well, what about the results, you say? They are interesting, to say the least-it appears we have a few deviants amongst us:

According to my poll, when the pattern calls for a colour change,
1 (7%) scream in agony and run away

4 (28%) fetch up the exact shade called for

8 (57%) pick up whatever colour is at hand

1 (7%) continue with the same colour and hope no one notices

Total votes: 14

Whoever voted for option 1, please email me privately, I’d like to talk to you.
Option 2ers, you’re sick…
Option 3ers, yes, I’m your blood-sibling
Option 4er: you are an optimist, aren’t you?
