The sunset from our flat. Took me several attempts to get this one right (or almost!)

This is the Fans and Fantasies doily from Denise Augostine’s site, Crochet Paradise, again for my doily_of_the_month group. Click on the doilies link in the left-hand menu and scroll down for the Vintage Doilies.

The Simple doily from Nancy Hearne’s website, for my doily_of_the_month. It was a major relief to work with size 10(?) thread, and this doily works up really fast, too.
Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I’ve started to blog all the unusual ways that death occurs which I hear about from Sridhar. No disrespect intended to the victims or their families, and I will not mention names and places either.
I call my blog ‘A zillion ways to die’.
I like this chain letter!
My current doily is the Fans and Fantasies vintage pattern from Crochet Paradise, which I am crocheting as part of my doily_of_the_month. Although it was last month’s doily, I am enjoying catching up. 🙂

This is from the reincarnated website of Denise Augostine. I cannot give a direct link to the pattern, but here is the homepage of Denise Augostine’s Crochet Paradise. She seems to be missing the picture, though. I used a finer gauge thread, so the doily is smaller than the pattern indicated. After doing this I feel like I don’t want to look another cluster in the face!!!
The largest doily I’ve ever made. I couldn’t resist something called the Star of India! It worked up to 25 inches with the lurex(?) I was using.
If I ever take up another filet project, this might help.
Looks very interesting, maybe it can be tried with a thick yarn and a large hook?
