Ok, people. I am going to take a grip on myself and start crocheting, instead of mooning over the computer all day every day! Seriously, I have to finish this shawl for my aunt who will be visiting from Houston next week, and maybe make a baby set for my cousin’s daughter (Maybe I’ll knit that one…hmm). Then there is the Member’s choice doily for May for the doily_of_the_month Yahoo group that I haven’t even sniffed yet, plus a host of other things begun and left to founder…Good thing I don’t have a WIPs list or I would forever be updating that!
I must say I’m finding the Batwing shawl a bit tough, the pattern is proving difficult to read, so I haven’t broken it down yet into the *repeat* morsel yet.
Meanwhile I’ve been surfing merrily into fanlistings, the making of, the hosting of and the tearing out of hair about…Not too much progress, as there are far too many balls in the air for me right now and I have a feeling something’s going to crash soon.
Will keep you posted.
We bought a carrom board a couple of days ago. For those who don’t know, this game is like pool or snooker, only the “balls” are flat coins. It is a game for two players, two teams of two players or for four individuals. Great fun!
I have discovered fanlistings!!!
I am even now in the middle of joining about a hundred fanlistings, just to …. I don’t know….fit in, maybe?
But of course the main benefit will be finding other likeminded (does that need a hyphen?) people. Just look at my list!
That makes me wonder, are there unfan lists out there as well? For people who are not fans of something or someone…There ought to be!
Whatever!
I do have some crochet projects going on, while I wait for a doily to be chosen at my doily_of_the_month group. That cocoon/Polish/whatever sweater has been duly frogged and restarted, and is now progressing much more happily now. Thanks to Mrs Who over at Crochetville forums for those detailed instructions.
A photo of the cocoon… will be forthcoming soon, I promise.
In the meantime I’ve been playing around with my blog template, making changes with the bookmarklet. I’m not entirely happy yet, but we’ll see.
Two views of the sunset. It’s basically the same angle as my earlier photo, but this time I tried the portrait view. You can’t get a great sunset without clouds. I love these pictures. Isn’t the colour wonderful?
Now I only have to stop my hands from trembling (it’s a family trait on my mother’s side).
That sound you hear is me patting myself on my back. 😀
Something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I’ve started to blog all the unusual ways that death occurs which I hear about from Sridhar. No disrespect intended to the victims or their families, and I will not mention names and places either.
I call my blog ‘A zillion ways to die’.
I like this chain letter!
