I was checking my blog stats today from the dashboard and I noticed a click-through from a new-to-me blog. I went there and found she has me on her blogroll 😳 Yay! Then I checked out her bio and her “50 things“. I especially like her yarn holder, as I’ve been using a Yarn Thimble on my latest project and have some issues with it (it makes my finger sweat, and leaves it stiff because I cannot bend it as I would if it weren’t there. I think Lucy wanted to know about it when first I received it a few months ago.)
Check out her Yarn Holder. And I thought listing stuff you’ve finished this year under 50 things was cool.
She’s made the same Hook Caddy I’d made, but in a much preeetier colour And she’s got interesting things poking out of it. Are they ergonomic hook handles, I wonder? Maybe I should just ask her.

hey, glad you liked my hook caddy! i hate the colour myself, go figure! btw, the accurate colour is the one from the top picture;-)
the things poking out of it are my double-pointed hooks, some scisors, tapestry needles and some jewelry tongs…
the idea for the 50 things i got from one of the blogs i read, i can’t remember which now though… and i thought it was a pretty good idea, so you can keep up with what you’re doing… i thought i wouldn’t get more then 10, till i started gathering it! there are some projects i didn’t go through with, so i left them out. you know when you start something, and see it won’t go anywhere? well, that’s that. when i get my hands on a camera i’ll do a how-to on the yarn holder for y’all!
trivia: i posted about the yarn thimble, and someone commented that it wasn’t any good, to which peaseblossom over at stuffpeasiemade.wordpress.com tricked me into trying to make my own. i mumbled over it a while and came up with it! it’s pretty good, especially with cheap acrylic and cotton thread.
